I know it's short notice, but our Obama group (The Knoxville Obama Movement) is hosting a SC Watch Party at Green Hills Grille in Western Plaza at 7pm, Saturday January 26. We've reserved the upstairs ballroom, and we'll have Obama signs, stickers, ect. It's basically just a low key watch party to get with other Obama supporters, and some undecided voters. Access to the Green Hills Grille menu and drinks. We'll be there until the returns from SC are posted and the speeches are given.

Who's up for the Christabel holiday show on Friday? Starts at 8pm, at the Laurel, which presumably means you can BYOB.

I'm sorry he got caught. This is the one red light camera I regularly drive through, because there's just no easy way to bypass it, especially when traffic is heavy and turning left from Old Broadway north onto Broadway is nearly impossible (and fucking dangerous).

Most of the damage is to the large planter, which is off camera (lower left). At the start of the video, if you look closely, you can see the begonias being tossed onto the sidewalk and into the street (again look lower left). Then the douchebagette offender steps into the camera zone and decides to try and go for the ivy. She ripped off some leaves, but the ivy is strong and remains.

Filed police report, and will be doing so every time from now on.

A few folks have been belly-aching about Brewer's Jam. TVHA (homebrew club) is a big part of the logistics behind the event, but we don't really do much regarding the planning and overall organization of the JAM. We do, however, have a good avenue for channeling suggestions to improve it. What sort of things would you folks like to pass along to the organizers? Seriously, give me some general or specific complaints and suggestions, we have the ear of Community Shares and they should know what needs to be done to improve and keep the event viable, not to mention make it more enjoyable in the future.

Big party, 70 gallons of beer, great music and belly dancers, $15 at the door. Raising funds to help improve the downstairs space for art shows, music, and classes. Since we really won't be making money off a lot of that type activity we're hoping we can foot most of the bill by getting you all really drunk and throwing down with some good performances.
