Mass Effect

Just wanted to say, for those who have an Xbox360 or may be considering buying one, Mass Effect is a really, really good game. The cinematic sequences (of which there are many) are almost entirely generated realtime but look fantastic. All PC and NPC dialog is recorded (by actual actors, even). Everything about it is simply beautiful, except for pretty lame inventory management and trading interfaces. Also, the elevators aren't nearly as bad as Penny Arcade led me to believe.

where's my pc version

I really want to play this, but I'll probably have to wait a year or more for it to be ported to pc.

You should go ahead and get an xbox. GTA4 comes out 4/29, and you know you want it.

Second thoughts

I just finished this game (primary missions, anyway) over the weekend. After logging some 20 hours of play time, I can only echo what the PA guys said: the elevators are ridiculous! Overall it's a good game, and I wish it were longer. I'm slightly tempted to replay it with a different class, but ultimately I think I would just get bored pretty quickly. Besides, the game is still selling for a pretty good price on half so I think I'll sell it while it's still hot.
