Anyone playing Bioshock?

Anyone else playing Bioshock? If not do whatever you have to do to get ahold of this game (short of software piracy, robbing old ladies is cool though). So far in my playing there is no flaw to the game. It is the most beautiful game I have ever seen, the voice acting is seriously good, the setting and atmosphere is the coolest thing I have ever seen, and the game play is amazing. I order you all to get this so we can discuss how badass it is. This is a long video demonstrating some of the game and the choices in the game. In this video on the evolution weaponry in the game. So now Go Evolve!

what platform are you

what platform are you playing on?

The 360

I'm next gen and stuff.

Same here.

There seems to be a bit of an uproar over the PC version with its SecureROM hardcore crippleware. Apparently you MUST have a net connection to activate the game (and also to deactivate the license when you uninstall it). Also, you're only allowed three installations/activations before the game is locked, meaning you have to call to reset your installation counter. This effectively kills the secondhand market for the game. To make matters even worse, at least when the game first came out, 2K support said one had to call SecureROM to reset the counter, and SecureROM said one had to call 2K.

The STEAM downloadable version supposedly has similar restrictions.

This kind of shit is what makes people go yarrr!

It's sad

that idiots would ruin their sales trying to prevent people from ruining their sales. I understand that they don't want their profits ruined by the yarrr-camp, but they have to know this sort of action is only going to piss off the people who want to buy Bioshock. It is especially ridiculous to knowingly piss off your fanbase when you JUST had to recall a game because it got an M rating. So you just lost a couple of million on the production of that game plus you lost the potential sales of that game and then you do something that you know will only piss off your fans. It's mindboggling.
How big is the secondhand market for games? It has never occurred to me that I could sell a game once I was done with it. Is this a common thing for gamers?

Shitting all over the release of the best game of the year

SecureROM is now being classified as a "rootkit". Whether or not anyone knows what that means, it is just to help their stock price.

Played the demo last night

Looks cool, but I'll probably wait a while before buying it... Priorities, yada yada.
