A science fair poster from last month's Science for Juggalos event.

My one post in like five years is all about me it seems. I will be turning 30 and will be celebrating you-know-where on Friday, July 16th. This is a last minute notice. I swear I will be more responsible after friday. I guess I should put something meaningful in this post, so here's a nice experiment with magnets you can perform in your own home. You can even write your own poem about it if you want. Happy birthday to me!

Heading to my first away game this Fall, and taking Dad to his first ever game.

This ghost pepper salsa from SilverLeaf is really good. It has a nice burn, while not quite as hot as I had expected, and a great garlic taste to balance it out. I also tried some of their "Fiery Hot" habanero salsa, which provided a relatively soothing cool-down. Get your capsaicin-induced endorphin rush!

My SF hotel is the first domestic hotel I've ever been in without a Gideon's Bible. Rock on.

I haven't read Warren Ellis' RED, but now I must. Those of you familiar with Warren Ellis already read his blog, but if you aren't a fan, this pretty much sums things up:

Also, did you see the goddamn cast list that’s signed on for those characters? Bruce Willis as Moses, yes. But also: Morgan Freeman, Mary-Louise Parker, John C Reilly, Helen Mirren, Julian McMahon, Brian Cox, Ernest Borgnine and Richard Dreyfus. It reminds me a bit of those 70s films like THE TOWERING INFERNO, that had in them everyone you wanted to see in a film, all at once. RED is a bit like that, only with more automatic weapons.
